Episode 32 (Season 3): Foraging & Scotland’s Wild Foods with Mark Williams
Join me for a conversation with one of Scotland’s leading foragers Mark Williams – we’ll talk about wild foods, edible seaweed, his favourite places in Galloway and more!
Mark Williams is a forager and foraging tutor with over 30 years of experience. Originally from the Isle of Arran, he lives in Galloway these days and runs foraging classes and workshops all over Scotland. His website Galloway Wild Foods is one of the leading resources for beginners and experienced foragers alike.
To get a sense of my foraging trip with Mark, which also saw us kayaking on the Galloway coast, listen to last week’s episode In Tune.
Tune into my conversation with Mark in which we cover…
- How Mark became a full-time forager,
- His favourite plants, mushrooms and seaweeds to forage,
- Tips for aspiring foragers in Scotland (and beyond),
- What he loves most about foraging,
- What foraging and travelling have in common, and
- Some tips for a lovely trip to Galloway.
Plus, you’ll hear a snippet from a foraging walk with Mark.
